The Team

Waru is built upon the experience and knowledge of Joe Mattner who has worked in the Aboriginal heritage field since 1991, and who holds a BSc (Hons) and a MA, both in archaeology, as well as a Grad. Dip. in Aboriginal Studies. All work is conducted under his direction, and Joe still is very hands-on in all aspects of work.

The Waru team includes Dr Nic Grguric and Dr Jason Barr, who are highly experienced and very capable archaeologists, and Philip Haydock, who is an ethnographer and rock art specialist with decades of experience.

To assist on projects when required, Waru can engage some of the most experienced heritage professionals currently working in Western Australia.
